The book begins slowly but the story evolves into a hysterical tale of six young women finding out the truth of life. With the nights out, the holidays, disaterous fake tan attemps there is two things that hold the group together.

One is Jennifer Lopez and the other is their Cooking Club, which was started after Charlie’s mum suggested she get cooking lessons. As the girls cooking skills improve so does their views on life. But the main line of the story is about Charlie’s search for love, and she finds it after Tara “The Slut” jumps out of the cab they are riding in and runs over to a silver convertible to get a “Hot Guys” number. After returning to the vehicle Charlie gets a phone call and finds out that Tara suggested that they went out for dinner… the only problem is it never actually happens because Dan has to work so they have to keep postponing.

 This is a great read and I recommend it.

Bronte was admitted to hospital many times and was weighed every Thursday which became a stressful time for her father, who eventually gave up work to care for Bronte at home. Bronte would kick and scream when it was weigh day but she couldn’t help it. A main part of her Anorexia was “Neg” her negative ming.

In 1995 her parents had come to their wits ends and had no more options except let Bronte die. Until they heard of a contorversal clinic in Canada which was helping Anorexics. Montreux clinic was $30,000 a month. This is where Bronte’s Life was turned around.

 This book was intriging as you got to discover who Bronte really was and watch her go from a very sick girl to a lively 25 year old young woman. Bronte’s life was far from happy but with the endless support from her family she made it through. The Bronte Cullis foundation is now in operation which helps sufferers , the families of sufferers to pull through and hopefully come out on top.

Timeline

1979: Bronte Cullis is born on the 3rd of January with a fractured skull.

1982: Bronte was hit by a car almost three years old.

1985: Bronte heard about Aids and feared it.

1988: Bronte first started to hear “Neg”

1989: “Neg” becomes more powerful

1990: * Bronte would hide under the house if somone was mad or sad because she thought it was her fault.

* Began to patrol the house at night locking windows, doors and switching off power points etc.

1991: Was bullied at school non-stop. This was the first trigger of Bronte’s Anorexia

1994: * Rachel (Bronte’s best friend) suddenly lfet school. This was the second trigger of Bronte’s Anorexia.

* July Bronte’s nanna was diagnosed with a tumor. This was the third and final trigger which sent Bronte’s life into a downward spiral.

* July Bronte stops eating and is admitted to hospital for the first time.

* December 1st Bronte ran away from hospital.

1995: *21st of April Bronte get’s her first Nasogastric Tube.

* 21st of July Bronte took an overdose of 35 Antidepressants.

* September Bronte’s Mum and Brother James went to look at Montreax Clinic in Canada.

* 8th of November Ray Martin goes to meet the Cullis Family.

* 20th November the first story of Bronte aired on A Current Affair.

1996: * May 1st Bronte is admitted to Montreax Clinic

* May 2nd Bronte’s Nasogastric tube is removed.

* July 15th Bronte eats solid food for the first time in two years.

1997: Bronte is challenged to eat out.

1998: * Bronte is no longer allowed to measure her food intake.

* March 31st Bronte is told she can’t wash her hands obssessively anymore.
